A PICTURE OF LIFE - A Poem

From the book POEMS FROM A LIFE LESS TRAVELED
By Jack Truman

A PICTURE OF LIFE

As I look about
I see life
In its own picture
A picture of life
In a way
A way that makes our eyes see things
And yet our heart sees another

A picture of life
Is simple
Yet difficult
In its own way
For in the picture
You see visions
Sometimes not the same
But a picture to be seen

With a picture
You see the depthness
The meaning in the art
The art which makes a picture
A picture of life
To see as one may see

Life is a picture
For it has a frame
A frame which blocks it
To make it separate
From the others
To show of how a picture is life
And of how life is a picture

So Far Away: A Poem from a Life Less Traveled

SO FAR AWAY

Here I am
So far away
Away from all I know
Everything about me is new
I am a stranger to these surroundings

I am so far away
From the life I know
Yet so close
For the life I know
Is always within me

My everyday life
Is so far away
So far away from all I know
And all I am

I am here though
My body
My soul
Is here
Wherever I am
I will be there

Nothing is so far away
