My Kids In My Mind - A Mother's Day Poem
MY KIDS IN MY MIND
My kids are adults now,
But in my mind
They are still children.
I see them taller than me.
I look up to them,
But in my mind
I look down
And see them holding my hand.
They needed me
When they were small.
They do not need me now.
My purpose to them has been served.
I know this,
If only I could convince my mind.
